![]() Different Definations of Trumpet: Trumpet Winsock is shareware. It has the ability to talk over an Ethernet board or over a modem to an Internet provider, but it can't do both simultaneously. Trumpet software enables your Windows PC to establish a basic Internet connection over a modem, ISDN, or Ethernet line. Trumpet works "in the background" on your PC to maintain your connection while you run your Internet programs, such as Netscape, Samson, or Eudora, "on top" of it. Trumpet is a dialer program that connects your computer to your Internet Service Provider. The software talks to your modem and tells it who to call and where they are. You need Trumpet if you are running an older version of Windows. It is the most reliable dialler out there for Windows 3.x. If your computer has Windows '95, you do not need this software. Windows '95 has a dialer program written into it already which works great. A trumpet is a soprano brass wind instrument consisting of a long metal tube looped once and ending in a flared bell, the modern type being equipped with three valves for producing variations in pitch. Most of the time, when people say "trumpet," they mean the Bb trumpet, There are also bass trumpets; trumpets in the keys of Bb, C, D, Eb, F, G, A piccolo trumpet, Bb piccolo trumpet; cornets in Bb and Eb; and the Bb flugelhorn. The Trumpet vine (Campsis radicans) is a large and vigorous woody vine of the family Bignoniaceae, notable for its showy trumpet-shaped flowers. It is native to woodlands of the southeastern United States. The leaves are emerald green when new, maturing into a dark green. The flowers are orange to red in color with a yellowish throat.
